Mixing Drives with different speed

Hi there,
what about mixing drives: We have a Raid 5 System on Smart 2/P with 3x 4GB (10000rpm) Drives. Can we replace one of these with an slower Drive (7200rpm)?? What is when we want to expand to Array to 5 Drives? What problems will occur after replacing a high-speed Drive with a slower one?

Thanks for any comments.

Re: Mixing Drives with different speed

When you put the slower drive in, it will cause the rest of the drives to spin down to 7200rpm. however when you swap the drive with the correct speed, there should be no issue and the array will return to 10k speeds
