ML370 ROC disk size upgrade
Hi,
I hope this is an easy answer. We're running a tried and true ML370 G1 with ROC and 36gig drives mirrored. I'd like to increase our disk capacity.
I see that the newer raid controllers will allow you to swap in a larger disk one at a time. This allows the existing RAID to rebuild on each new drive without disrupting the server. Then new partitions can be created in the extra space of the new drive.
Have I got it right?
Can the old Compaq Raid On a Chip (ROC) do this?
Thanks,
Jason Morrill
