MSA 1000 unable to rename <Unknown> Connection
with only CLI to a MSA1000 it auto detected a new connection and named it .
I can't rename the connection using or < > or " " or 'blank' or Unknown. I also can't delete it because it dosen't have a 'name'.
it's not documented in the CLI user interface guide.
Does anyone know the right CLI syntax to rename or delete this connection?? R in PDX

Re: MSA 1000 unable to rename <Unknown> Connection
Each time the MSA is powered on, all active HBA connections to the MSA are automatically detected and identified by their WWPN. Before a server accesses the storage of the MSA, you must identify the operating system or profile of each connection using the "ADD CONNECTION" command at the CLI prompt of the MSA1000.
Just add a connection with the desired name and the same WWPN and correct profile name. The "uknown" connection name would be renamed to the name you used for the new connection.

Re: MSA 1000 unable to rename <Unknown> Connection
that worked just fine... I manually add a new connection, with the same info, and it took over or 'named' the new connection and took the active switch port conenction..
Thanks...
