I have deployed a new EVA8400 which is populated with 600GB 10K drives. I can see that they all have a firmware revision of HP01. How can I find out if this is the latest firmware revision for these disks ?
Regards,
Berd

SolutionThere is a document that gets updated every now and then. It is called "HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array Disk Drive Firmware Support". Latest now is from November 2010.
You can find it here:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?contentType=SupportManualтМй=en&cc=us&docIndexId=64179&taskId=101&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=3900918
On the same page, you can also put in the model number of your disk (like the whole BD600*******) and you may find a newer one in there.
This page can also be of some assistance:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/ProductList.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=329290&prodSeriesId=3302267&taskId=135
(it is downloads for Storage EVA Array Fibre Channel Hard Drives).
See this download: "HP StorageWorks EVA Hard Disk Drive Bundle"
