Online and Offline mode

Hi folks,

Another quick question, whats the difference between Online and Offline mode within Lun Management.

Off Line Mode
The disk array is not servicing I/Os-to-LDEVs or
ports that are being modified. You can add or
delete paths and modify port configurations.
Before adding or deleting paths, you need to move all IOs on port that you're interested in to alternate paths.

On Line Mode
The disk array continues to service all I/Os. You
can only add new paths.
