Power requirements for AS4140 and MSA1000 Disk Subsystem

Good Morning,

I have a site that is going to relocated two racks to another location. These racks contain 2 AS4140's and 1 MSA1000 disk subsystem. They have installed the power at the new location, however a question has been asked that i need some assistance with.

The isolated ground 'IG' receptacles (specified by equipment OEM) will not be effective since we do not have distribution panelboards with an isolated ground bus. The vendor can still provide the IG receptacles; however, their affectless is unknown not being connected to a non-isolated ground distribution panelboard.

Do the IGL receptacles need to be connected to the non-isolated ground distribution panelboard?

Hi,

Do you really mean AS4140 ? I suspect that you might mean AlphaServer 4100 ?

That said, I don't think you need overly worry about Isolated Grounds.

Cheers,

Rob
