Raid 5 Array on a P600 in a MSA60 rebuild issues
I have a RAID 5 array on a P600 contoller in a MSA60. I have installed a new drive and the rebuild was not successful (did not start). The dignostics report "Hardware Error (0x0d)" also indicated error writing, my first thought was...bad luck a defective drive so I istalled a second new drive same issue. I reviewed the diagnostics again and noted the drive is detected in the bay but the drive information does not report Drive Model, Drive Firware and Drive SN. I am currently thinking this is a backplane issue.

Re: Raid 5 Array on a P600 in a MSA60 rebuild issues
I have done some continued scanning of the Diagnostic Report and have found what I believe to be a second drive in a RAID 5 Array with faults.

The backplane was found to be defective.
