RedHat 5.1 Qlogic 2340 driver installation failed

Hi,
I have Proliant DL385 G1 and i cannot installing the rpm:
uname -r --> 2.6.18-53.el5PAE

rpm -ivh hp_qla2x00src-8.01.07.16-2.rhel5.rpm
Préparation... ########################################### [100%]

This RPM is only supported on RHEL 5

erreur: %pre(hp_qla2x00src-8.01.07.16-2.noarch) scriptlet failed, exit status 1
erreur: install: échec du scriptlet %pre (2), on saute hp_qla2x00src-8.01.07.16-2

Problem was
RedHat 5 Update 1 PSP 7.92 Qlogic 2340 driver installation failed

I resolved problem by installing the following driver hp_qla2x00-2007-10-05.tar.gz

I just installed this latest driver on my freshly updated 2.6.18-53.1.14-el5 system - and on reboot I can no longer see my LVM groups!

I can see the /dev/sd* devices - but LVM devices are not present.

On the phone with HP now - anyone have any suggestions?

pvs,lvs and vgs
pvdisplay, lvdisplay and vgdisplay
