SCSI-3 Persistent Reservation on EVA3000
A year ago the EVA3000 did not support SCSI-3 persistent group reservations on the EVA3000 which is required by the Veritas Clustered file systems on HP-UX 11i. HP was expected to support this requirement by the 2nd Quarter of 05.I was wondering if anyone knows if they were successful or where I can get any updated information regarding the same.

Re: SCSI-3 Persistent Reservation on EVA3000
There is a firmware upgrade coming (in less than a month) that gives the older EVAs the same functionality as the new ones, so I would think what you are looking for is in this new firmware.
Good luck,
Vince

Re: SCSI-3 Persistent Reservation on EVA3000
Thanks for the reply, I've seen the HCL before and you are right.
I believe HP has just released a new Secure path upgrade, and we are right now at 3.20 on the VCS ( upgraded in May 05 ) ,did you find any document or release statement from HP regarding the funtionality support that I am looking for viz. the SCSI-3 persistent reservations?

Re: SCSI-3 Persistent Reservation on EVA3000
But like I said, the new firmware will be out soon, and that new firmware should include this feature.
