unattended builds
I am trying to create an unaattended build script for Windows 2000 Server. The "RETAIL" version of 2000 does not detect the intergrated SMART array controller during an unattended build. The build requires a file called TXTSETUP.OEM - something normally supplied by the OEM, but not bundelled with the drivers supplied via http://www5.compaq.com/support/files/server/us/locOsCat/20.html
Servers with this piece include the DL580, DL380 and DL360.
If anyone has a specialist answer here - they'll save me a lot of energy.
thanks,
David Edwards, Cable and Wireless

Re: unattended builds
You could be using the "Smartstart Scripting Toolkit" for at least some of this (if not the whole project):
Smartstart Scripting
This provides utilities and files, along with instructions, for setting up a complete unattended install of NT 4.0, NetWare 5.1 or Win2K (others possible).

Re: unattended builds
RonG - I've had a look at the download (Smartstart Scripting Toolkit) - and it looks perfect!! I've spent 2 days trying to write one of these with little (read no) success. I will test it tomorrow.
cheers,
David
