Unusual Drive Status in CIM

We have an external array running 6 x 18 Gb ULTRA 2's. When a degraded drive was replaced with a new one, the status in CIM went from Status: OK, Action: Replace Drive to, Status: Failed, Action: Replace drive, TO Staus: OK, Action: No action required. It had changed to failed 20 mins into the rebuild cycle of the drive. Then changed back to OK. This server is on completely new hardware, is it possible that the CIM agents are corrupt?
