VA 7400 Battery Firmware

I have two VA 7400 controllers reporting just fine with the exception of one reporting it's battery firmware version at 0.0. When the other controller report 4.3. I have looked and cannot find the HP download for the battery firmware. Both Controllers are at HP22 and are in a >READY state. Tried copying the battery firmware from inside CVSDM with no luck. CVUI may upload it, however I need the firmware file.

Can you post the "armdsp -a " output?

IMHO it is unlikely to have fw version 0.0 - but if the battery is dead the result may be strange.

Thanks for the reply, I already swapped the controller. However I did find the 4.3 firmware file and tried applying it to the controller. CVUI and Command View both said the update was complete, however C1 still reported it's batter firmware version at 0.0. Very strange indeed. Defective Controller?

Hard to suggest something without more information.

where did you find the battery firmware?  is it possible to get a copy of the file?

If the version is shown as "0" you can be quite sure the battery is dead.

What does "armdsp -a" show?

Torsten, Is there a firmware file that you can download to update the battery with? There appears to be according to a couple of other threads I have read, but I am unable to find it. You would think it would be in the VA bundles, but the VA bundle only has firmware for the controllers and disks.
