Solution
Daniel,
odd disk slots - RG1, even - RG2. Balance disks between odd and even slots. If you'll do it without VA reformat then VA will warn you 'some disks are not in RG they were assigned to'. I do not know if there will be any other consequences, but would recommend to
1. backup data
2. rearrange disks
3. reformat array
4. restore LUN configuration and data
Post 'armdsp -a' here and I will tell you more

Re: VA7410 RG Problem
Hello,
(maybe) depending on Your firmware, but for sure with the latest 2 fw releases VA will not change the RG of the disk when You move to different slots. Dsik wil stay initialized in the RG it has been put into when it has been new. You have to backup everything, format the array, recreate LUNs and put everything back if You want to balance disks across RGs.
How did happen that all Your drives are in one RG only? You had to put them into odd or even slots initially??? Strange... BR, Vladimir

Re: VA7410 RG Problem
Srs...
This is a mistake...
The VA model is 7100. This model really have just one RG.
I'm sorry.
Thanks!
