what is BCV? What is the difference between BCV and Mirror?

Hi, All masters,

I have to support a customer who has a EMC Symmetrix on HP T600. Many things I need to learn now. The first question is: what is BCV?
I check some doc., My feeling is that it looks quite similar with mirror? what is the difference between them?

It's like mirror in some ways that BCV can be used for online backups and data duplication but it's different.
In addition,
BCV can allow test data for development and report generation and 9 mirrors are now supported if cascaded.
