what technologies CompVault use to perform DISK-TO-DISK backup?

We have XP 24000 storage, and recently we are thinking to use CompVault as our backup software. Does anybody know what technologies or software CompVault use to perform DISK-TO-DISK backup? I'd be better if you could provide me any documents.
