Hi,
Can some one clarify the use of the command device when using raid manager to manage BC and CA operations on an XP20K?
We have RM configured on two HPUX servers which both see our two XP arrays, one server local to each array. Both seeing the same two command devices and configured in the HORCM files.
These are the only hosts which have RM installed.
Do I need a command device presented to all other hosts which use BC or CA, or is this just required for the Raid manager hosts?
Thanks in advance,
DJ

Re: XP Command Device
I say just think of the command device as a "SCSI buffer" to pass in-band commands (from RAID Manager) from the host to the array. If you think of it this way, I think it helps to make since when you are planning your HORCM files
