XP maintanance related
dear all,
i am a rookie of XP's administrator. could you please offer me some document about XP's administrator, like hardware structure, LUN path management, port management and SVP operating manual.
furthermore, i have a XP log message telling "OVER LIFE SPAN of Baterry", do i need to change the battery? how to approach it?
thanks a lot

Re: XP maintanance related
The XP is a black box.
Only trained personnel is allowed to do HW maintenance and operate the SVP.
To have your battery replaced you need to open a call at HP.
I assume you are having a valid maintenance contract :-)
For an overview of the configuration and management options for XP10000/12000 I suggest reading the Remote Web Console User Guide
on: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00801767/c00801767.pdf?jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN
Cheers

Re: XP maintanance related
Stephen
Still, you are not allowed to do any HW maintenance on the XP512. For that you need to log a call and ask for assistance.
You will find some XP512 guides here:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?contentType=SupportManualā©=en&cc=us&docIndexId=179111&taskId=101&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=33732
Do you have Command View XP installed?
If yes you find the respective guide here. Select the guide for your version:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?contentType=SupportManualā©=en&cc=us&docIndexId=179111&taskId=101&prodTypeId=18964&prodSeriesId=64820
With CV XP you can configure ports, Raid Groups etc.
Cheers
