Adding new drive
I currently have 4x 18.2gb- 7.2k ( 400739-B21), raid5 on proliant 1600 450mhz drive cage 3200 array
I want to create a new drive using a 36gb seperate from the raid5. Will a 15k drive work in the drive cage ?
If one on my 18.2 gig breaks down can I replace with a 18.2 10k drive.
thanks

Re: Adding new drive
If you are referring to an Ultra3 15k drive, it will not fit. Your server came with a Wide-Ultra SCSI-3 Drive Cage so you would have to purchase the optional ultra2/3 drive cage. Note that if you change the drive cage to the Ultra2/3 your original hard drives will not fit. Feel free to call 1-800-ok-compaq if you have any further uestions.
