Can I clear the information log for drives in STM??
I sent out two hard drives that were new in box from HP and somehow they were returned to me BAD!! I ran the dd test and some stm tests and the drives failed. Since I had nothing to lose I did a mediainit on them and since then no more notices from EMS and the dd test passed successfully. Now they work fine but the information log for these drives says 39 write errors and 559 non-medium errors on one and 158 retries with 47 non-medium errors on the other. So, I guess I was wondering if I could clear out the logs on these or just call them GOOD since they are working fine?? Any thoughts??

Re: Can I clear the information log for drives in STM??
Hi Dane
You may clear the logs, but keep these drives under observation for sometime i.e. monitor their logs and see that write errors do not increase.
Regards
Mahesh
