Compatibility of Ultra2 and 15K Ultra3

I have a server which has 4 x 9Gb ultra2 drives. One drive failed and a replacement with the same part number was sent out, but the new drive is a 15K Ultra3 drive.

Can I mix these drives? Will the ultra3 drive spin down to 7 or 10K?

it'll work as an ultra2 HDD. to back this up try the URL:
