Convert to Hot-Pluggable

Is there any way to convert non hot-pluggable drives (new 18.2 GB Ultra2 (388143-B21)) to hot-pluggable? Does Compaq have a kit or upgrade for this?

For what specific system (newer Ultra2/3 "black" trays or older Wide-Ultra SCSI "beige" trays)?

Either type, but preferably the newer, black tray.
