DISK ERRORS 4- A5528A(18GB) mirrored in a D380/2 way
The four drives mentioned in the subject line are in two mirrored pairs. the first of which has my OS, the second I placed our data base on. A couple hours after I configured the drives I started to notice that 1 drive from each group was showing errors. they were both showing stale sections on the drive and also was getting logs that the system could not locate the drives?!?!? Any ideas? Failing drives or a possible firmware issue?
Thanks for all your help!

Re: DISK ERRORS 4- A5528A(18GB) mirrored in a D380/2 way
Hi Daniel,
so 2 disks in one vg, mirrored to each other and 2 other disks in another vg, mirrored to each other, right?
Stale extends occur mostly due to read or write errors on either disk.
Have you tried a dd on both disks to find possible I/O read errors? (dd if=/dev/rdsk/cxtxdx of=/dev/null bs=1024k)
Have you tried an ioscan and checked the status of the disks?
You may also use cstm to analyze these drives.
Can you provide some information here, then we can analyze them further.
Regards,
CD
