End of Life - SC10?

We have 2 SC10 attached to our N4000/PARISC.

Hello Rex,

According to this document, published in March, 2001:

http://www.hp.com/hpinfo/globalcitizenship/environment/productdata/pdf/eds_storag_a5675a_v1.pdf

warranty coverage is as follows:

Standard Warranty: 1 year
Extended Warranty: 2-3 years
Spare Parts Available: 3 years after end of production
Service Available: 3 years after end of production

Re: End of Life - SC10?

Guess I should have said end of available support. We are purchasing yearly support contracts through 2009 on our N4000..

Didn't know if the storage SC10 falls into the same bucket.

Re: End of Life - SC10?

Rex,

I am also reviewing our HP support contracts. One contract covers an L3000 that had an HVD10 and multiple 12H's attached. I believe the HVD10 is a similar enclosure to the SC10--just low voltage SCSI instead of high voltage. At least it's from the same era.

Anyway, below each line item concerning the 12H's appears:

"Please note HP can no longer support this item from: 12/31/2008".

However, no such disclaimer appears under the HVD10 hardware. This leads me to believe that support for the FC60/SC10/HVD10 enclosure can be purchased beyond EOY 2008.

Your best bet would be to contact HP.
