excessive prefail warnings
We have encountered 3 prevail drive warnings in the last 2 weeks in the same sub-system. There are 18 drives in total and have been in service for approx. 1 year. Is this typical of the 33.6 drive model? Or is it just a case of bad luck. I was under the impression that these drives would fail at a rate of 1 per year for the next 20 years. What is the actual failure rate for these drives? Are they performing up to spec? Has Compaq noticed an excessive failure rate for these drives? How can I find out. Has anyone else encountered the same type of occurance? Thanks!
