Hard Disk Replace Plan

I have a new 36G drive plannig to replace a 4G drive that consists of 1) Oracle software stuff; 2) 1G device swap (it is not root disk).

I would like to hear any comment about how to plan the replacement successfully, especially the swap device. I have the following swap info:

--------------
/dev/vg00/lvol2 device 1.0gb 3mb 1
/dev/vg01/lvol1 device 1000mb 4mb 1
/disk5/paging filesys 2.0gb 0mb 1
pseudo-swap memory 1.9gb 532mb na
----------------

The disk I plan to replace is the 2nd listing of /dev/vg01/lvol1.

Thanks in advance,

Steven

Re: Hard Disk Replace Plan

can you attach the output of

#ioscan -fnC disk
#strings /etc/lvmtab
#vgdisplay -v /dev/vg01
#swapinfo -tam
#lvlnboot -v

just describe about vg01 configuration and Are you going to add this 36GB disk into which group ?
