Hard Drives
I have a Presario 5310US using XP Home edition. I would like to add a bigger hard hrive and was wonder what is the easiest way to do this. Can I transfer all my files to wht is now the C drive, move it to the D drive slot and then add a new hard drive in the old c slot and then transfer the old c files back? Just guessing. Help I'm running out of space on my hard drive.

Re: Hard Drives
In a nutshell - no.
But... there's software available to help you do just what you want to do... let's see if I can remember what it was called...
Partition Magic
...and there was a more limited version of the software, but it only allows you to copy a drive for upgrade purposes - just what you want to do - unfortunately, I can;t remember the name of that one... it's by the same authors, so find Partition Magic, and it should be there too.
Good luck,
Vince

No matter where you go, there you are.

Re: Hard Drives
I believe that DriveCopy or DriveImage are the two software packages by Powerquest that Bruce was probably thinking of.
Both good products.
