Hardware card for Surestore E disk HVD10 system (A5616A)


HP 4Si card connects to LVD disk systems (such as SC10).
I need to raid an old HVD10 disk system.
Is there a HP supported raid card available or is software raid the only solution ?

You are correct, RAID 4Si is LVD-only. And it is the only internal RAID card supported on HP-UX.

It seems software RAID is your only choice.

you convert the hvd10 to a sc10... by purchasing sc10 controllers and simply swapping them out
