Re: HP Disk System 2300

Hello Aydin,

You question is not clear. are you looking for adding disks to existing DS2300 ? How many are populated already ? Are you looking for disk part numbers ?

Re: HP Disk System 2300

OK,
my problem is that I cannot say the name of what you are looking for already.
for my customer's 2300 empty disk slots ,I want to put HDD, but I need an adapter OR disk holder to put disk in it first then to put it slot.
But I do not know the name of this adapter's name and I do not have part number to buy OR find them.
Thanks,

Re: HP Disk System 2300

Hi Aydin,

You can buy the disks with these fittings from HP / HP Resellect. Part numbers for DS2300 can be had from
http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?SearchText=A6490A

Disks with these part numbers will come with required fittings so that you can directly plug in them to the empty slots.

Hope this helps.

Hari

Re: HP Disk System 2300

I already have HP disks for use, but these disks have not mounting rail. I need just the adapter.
I guess you say, disks already come together with these adapters ?

Re: HP Disk System 2300

yes, if the disk is ordered with those part numbers it will be already having the necessary fittings.

eg. Part number - A7287-69230 146.0GB SCSI hard disk drive - 10,000 RPM, 1.0-inch high - is ready for fitting to DS2300

There is no separate part number for the fittings of these disks from HP as its not sold separately.

Hari

Re: HP Disk System 2300

Hi,
HP does not have a spare part list only for the disk mouting plastics for any of the server/storage . The number you mentioned may not be orderable from an HP reseller.

Re: HP Disk System 2300

... but obviously there are several webshops where you can buy them.

The part numbers are not HP, for sure.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
