You do not use the Automeatic Configure mode, but the Manual, New Configuration selections;
Menu path: "Management Menu" â Configure â New Configuration
if you want to create a RAID 1+0 configuration with 6 physical disks, create the first array of two disks, press Enter, create the second array of two disks, press Enter, and continue until you have created the third array of two disks and pressed Enter. Then, make sure the 3 arrays are shown on the "New Configuration - ARRAY SELECTION MENU" (if you started with a clear configuration, the arrays would be numbered A00, A01, and A02.)
Press Enter to configure the arrays into a single logical drive.
The "Logical Drives Configured" screen, with the "Logical Drive n" menu to the lower left, displays. The "Logical Drives Configured" screen lists the logical drives and this information about each drive:

Re: re : DS2300 help
Thanks for the guide, sorry to ask but I really have don't in this portion. On your steps you mention create 1 array of two disk, 2 array of two disk and 3 array of two disk. After this I will have a00-a01 a01-a01 and a02-a01 something like that. Now should i combined this three to create a raid 1 or raid 0 for the logical drive. This is because on the raid selection I can only see raid 0 , raid 3 and raid 5 . Please advice???
Also how about the spanning ...
Regards
