The documentation for both items are in http://docs.hp.com
If the scsi interface is compatible, the answer is yes. You may need an add in card for the workstation.

your switch settings are:
1 on - full bus (all disks on the same bus
2 on - host mode (not within an array)
3 on - bus reset if powerfail
4 on - high addressing (SCSI ID related)
so the settings are OK, you have possibly a bad disk.
Try to remove the first disk and watch for errors.
