SC10 question

Is possible to use a SC10 disk system on a HP 'B' class workstation.

Shalom,

The documentation for both items are in http://docs.hp.com

If the scsi interface is compatible, the answer is yes. You may need an add in card for the workstation.

I did add a card. Here's the error I'm getting:

The bus cntr card has the following DIP switch settings:
1,2,4 are on. 3 and 5 are off.
Tray id = 10

Hi,

your switch settings are:

1 on - full bus (all disks on the same bus
2 on - host mode (not within an array)
3 on - bus reset if powerfail
4 on - high addressing (SCSI ID related)

so the settings are OK, you have possibly a bad disk.
Try to remove the first disk and watch for errors.

Tried removing the disks and running a ioscan. ioscan hangs. Still failing. See error:
