Ultra3 SCSI firmware update
I was wondering how one would update firmware on a Ultra3 SCSI drive (18.2GB-10K)? Does this really matter when using several drives in a RAID5 config? Should firmware match on all drives? If it does, what is the current version and is there such a utility that would allow me to do this? Thanks

Re: Ultra3 SCSI firmware update
Yes, its a good idea to have the same firmware on every drive, but as drives fail and new modes are released this becomes more of a compatibility issue, and its for the manufacturer to determine.
In the past, I've seen drive firmware updated by swapping out a circuit board in each drive. And this again becomes a manufacturer issue.
