upgrate with eSATA HDD

Hi,
I am in Position of an old Desktop PC
,
I would like to upgrade with an ESATA HDD:
1. So I bought the
2. As a Controller I like to use a , which operates with (PCI 66MHz)- PCI 2.3 compliant>
3. I was wondering weather this solution would work with my old Compaq Evo 510, so I ask the producer to confirm the compatibility. His Answer –quote: 08.May.2007, Hi Nicol, It has been test with 750GB Seagate drives; however, the motherboard might not recognize because of the 64 bit LBA support.

So, could somebody tell me more about this compatibility issue?
