Slow retrieval time form HP MAS after v7.2.5 upgrade

My PACS Admin reports 10x slower than normal retrieval times from our HP MAS since it was upgraded to v7.2.5. HP MAS support cannot find any problems. The PACS vendor's support cannot find any problems either. Networking is OK too.

Are any other HP MAS customers seeing slower retrieval times after the 7.2.5 Grid software upgrade?

Is it possible to put a network sniffer on the line between the two? Or check the port on the LAN switch to see if somehow the Ethernet duplex might have gotten changed so there would be a duplex mismatch, which would cause packets drops and retransmissions.

I am just about to sign a deal for HP MAS for a PACS archive and saw yout post. Would be interested to hear if the HP MAS solution is working well for you or if there are problems. Would be great to be able to contact you.

The problem turned out to be a change in the PACS software, not with the MAS. After resolving the application problem, archive retrieval performance returned to normal. Confidence was high enough to triple the capacity of the MAS.
