HPE Cray XD670 Raid Controller

Some question I had for the Cray XD670 controller.

1. All the raid controller supported by Cray XD670. From what I can find from the quick spec pdf is MR 9560-16i only. 

2. When switching from PCH to raid controller, is there any wiring guide?

  Based on my review of the QuickSpecs (page 6), HPE officially recommends the following RAID controllers.  Hence, other RAID controllers may not work properly.  Could you please share the HPE document where you found the compatibility of other controllers.
   1.  Broadcom MR 9560-16i 32-port 12GB PCIe 4 Tri-Mode Dual Controller for HPE P60998-B21
   2. HPE Cray XD670 CRS4910 PCIe M.2 RAID Controller for HPC P60992-B21

Thanks for the info, the second controller is for M.2 SSD only right?.

As for the wiring, the controller has 4 ports that connect directly to the backplane?

Based on my understanding of the QuickSpecs, the details are as follows. However, please confirm with HPE support before purchasing any components.

*   The second controller is for M.2 SSD only right?
     As per the quickspecs, (page no.6) it is M.2 controller supports 4 SSDs.

*    As for the wiring, the controller has 4 ports that connect directly to the backplane?
     I am not sure on number of ports, but yes, cable can be directly connected backplane.
