3par persistent port compatibilities
I have a 3par system with 16G FC ports connect to swith.
From HPE 3PAR Command Line Interface Administrator Guide HPE 3PAR OS 3.3.1,I've found this rule of Persistent port:
Persistent port failover is only supported on the following NPIV-compliant HBAs:
• HPE 3PAR two-port 4G FC
• Emulex two-port 4G
• Emulex four-port 8G FC
I haven't find any other descripe about 16G FC&Persistent port.
Does my 3par system with 16G FC port not support Persistent port?
Hope somone could help me to confirm the compatibilities.
Thank you!

Re: 3PAR persistent port compatibilities
What does this show about your HBAs?

Re: 3PAR persistent port compatibilities
If you are asking about the FC cards on the 3PAR StoreServ itself, all cards since 3.2.2 MU2 support Port Persistence. In addition, the 3PAR supports Port Persistence over iSCSI and FCoE; see SPOCK.
Given over 500 MB of PDFs, there's a lot of documentation to keep current. I've already sent a note to the Documentation Feedback to get that obsolete nonsense removed.
If you are asking about a host, the fiber switches also need to be NPIV-compliant.
Note: While I am an HPE Employee, all of my comments (whether noted or not), are my own and are not any official representation of the company
