3PAR Storserv 8000 IP address and console password unknown - Reset 3PAR to factory settings

Good Day,

How can I reset the 3PAR storserv 8000 to factory settings?  The default IP address of 192.168.1.100 is not accessible and the new IP address that might have been configured when the device was initialized is not known.  I tried to login to the serial console but I don't know the 3paradm password as well as the console user password.

No need to reset.

You can change the IP in the Serial Console (Number 2).

But the Login is not 3paradm, it is: console / cmp43pd.

If you have a newer IOS, the password is encrypted, in this case open an Support Case and they give you the Serial Login.

For Deinstallation, you also need to Login to the Serial Console (Number 6).

3. Update the CBIOS

4. Enable or disable CLI error injections

5. Perform a Node-to-Node rescue

6. Set up the system to wipe and rerun ootb

7. Cancel a wipe

8. Perform a deinstallation

9. Update the system for recently added hardware (admithw)

10. Check system health (checkhealth)

11. Load network configuration

You have strong password setup, so you need to contact HPE support to get the console password.

I have a 3pra 8200 storage. Its controller 1 is faulty. After I replaced it with a new one, the controller did not join the cluster. I tried to check from the MFG port with the serial cable, but the user console password (cmp43pd) is not working. After replacing the controller, is there any possibility of changing the console user's default password (cmp43pd)? and if I change the controller hdd, is there any possibility of recovering the console user's default password (cmp43pd)?
