3paradm works only from Mfg port

I have a 3Par 7400.  I used to be able to login via ssh as 3paradm/ 3pardata. It no longer works.

The credentials   only work via a direct serial connection to console port on the back of the 3Par. Does anyone have ideas why this would be ?

There is no such dependency. Please check your IP, port number, or any other issues with ssh.

Not very likly, but who knows.....

Log into the 3PAR via the working console-cable and check if LDAP is configured.

Run "showauthparam". If it returns LDAP information, then LDAP is used for authentification and if the credentials are different in LDAP (different password), that could be an explanation for the failure.

What you can also do is run "checkpassword 3paradm"

The checkpassword will prompt you to enter the password. If the password is correct it will provide information about the credentials.
