Hi,
What is the correct procedure to a disk shelve to an already running 3PAR 8200 storage?
Is it online? and can i cause downtime?
Thank you

SolutionHello @raymondkhawand ,
Please refer to this link for adding drive enclosures.
Since the drives are hot-swappable, it can be done online!
Thanks,
Sahana S

Re: Query: Adding a disk shelve to 3PAR 8200
Hi @Sahana_S ,
Once racked and connected, how to make them available for usage in the 3PAR system? What about licensing of the additional capacity ?
Thank you

Re: Query: Adding a disk shelve to 3PAR 8200
Hi raymondkhawand,
Please check the drive cage compatibility with your HPE 3PAR 8200 array, make sure the physical connectivity is properly done.
Once racked and connected, you may run the command admithw to make the new cage for use.
No separate license is required to add a new cage.
Hope this helps.!
Regards
Anil
