Average IOPS for SAS, FC Drives for File Server WS2008R2
Hello,
I would like know how calculate IOPS of my storage 3PAR 7400 for use in File Server Windows Server 2008 R2. The server is new ok, will one cluster.
I have thirty two disk SAS with 2TB of 7200 RPM, and ninety two disk SAS with 600GB of 10K RPM.
What the best setting for this storage?
What the best RAID, 5, 10 or 50?
Which are the IOPS of disks?
I want the best performance in reading and in writing.

Your best performance would be RAID 1 but can you afford the space?
Other RAID values are 0, 5 or 6. 6 is recommended over 5 for your NL (2 TB) drives.
