Cannot Access 3PAR 7200 Controller
I received a replacement controller module for my 3PAR 7200 array. When I attempt to access the controller via serial connection the default user ID and password does not work. Neither do any of the user ID's and passwords listed in my 3PAR management Console. What can I do to gain access?

Re: Query: Cannot Access 3PAR 7200 Controller
This did not help. I need a way to reset the console user ID and password on the new controller.

Re: Cannot Access 3PAR 7200 Controller
Hi AnchorInc,
If you are unable to login to the new node, it is not yet joined the existing cluster.
Since this is 7200, there are only two nodes in the cluster. Is the other node up and working and able to login to that? Are you seeing the new node in 'shownode' output?
I think the HPE support can help you better here.

Re: Query: Cannot Access 3PAR 7200 Controller
I can access node 2 but cannot access node 1 of the array. Node 1 is new but the default user ID and password do not work to allow CL access. The shownode command only shows node 2. The showinventory command also olny shows node 2.

Re: Query: Cannot Access 3PAR 7200 Controller
Hi AnchorInc,
I assume, mentioning node 2 shoud be the node 1 - node numbering happening from 0 to 1. As mentioned in the previous reply, the node is not integrated with the cluster and that is why you are unable to login using the username and password for the existing set up.
If the node what you got is used in another array, you need to run a noderescue (startnoderescue) from the existing node to get this working. Also, it should also be confirmed both nodes are of exactly the same type.

Re: Query: Cannot Access 3PAR 7200 Controller
@veeyarvi Purchased a replacement node with the correct part number for our 3PAR 7200. When I insert the new node I get no serial connection activity and the blue and yellow lights flash on thenew node. I issues a startnoderescue from node 0 and node reports back it cannot see the new node. I have completely powered down the array and restarted yet node 0 still cannot see node 1. Any recommendations from here will be helpful.

Re: Query: Cannot Access 3PAR 7200 Controller
Hi AnchorInc,
If the new node has both blue and amber LED active, it is unable to boot (pass POST).
