Re: certificate for SSMC
Hi,
SSMC Certificates topic has been discussed several times on this forum. You'll find a few threads about it.
I've written a step-by-step article on HPE SSMC Custom Certificates, hope it helps.
Cheers,
Dardan

Re: certificate for SSMC
hi @Dardan , fisrt of all.. top thanks for answer me :-), yes i find this proces, but one of the problem that i have when i try to run those steps is when i try run the following command, i have problem with permission:
mv keystore keystore.orig
ssmcadmin@ssmcserver:/opt/hpe/ssmc/ssmcbase/etc$ mv keystore keystore.orig
mv: cannot move 'keystore' to 'keystore.orig': Permission denied

Re: certificate for SSMC
Hi,
I remember someone from the community shared something that with the new version of SSMC it's not possible to create new files in this directory.
So you'll have to copy the files to eg. home directory
cp /opt/hpe/ssmc/ssmcbase/etc/keystore /home/ssmcadmin/keystore.orig
I've adapted my blog.
Hope this helps.
Dardan

Re: certificate for SSMC
hi @Dardan finally i have the .pen file but i keep getting problem about permissions... i am using the winSCP to copy the file .pen to the directory "/opt/hpe/ssmc/ssmcbase/etc" but i have error about permision.. them i used the path "/home/ssmcadmin/" to copy the .pen file inside of the SP and tryed to move it to the path "/opt/hpe/ssmc/ssmcbase/etc", but permission problems:
ssmcadmin@server:~$ mv /home/ssmcadmin/certificatehost.pem /opt/hpe/ssmc/ssmcbase/etc
mv: cannot move '/home/ssmcadmin/certificatehost.pem' to '/opt/hpe/ssmc/ssmcbase/etc/certificatehost.pem': Permission denied
do you know what i can do?

Re: certificate for SSMC
Hi,
Both, "cp" and "mv" are creating new files, which the ssmcadmin user is not allowed to do in the target directory.
What the ssmcadmin-user can do is to overwrite existing files.
This command should work, if the file is already existent.... ( you better create a VM-snapshot before changing the file )
cat /home/ssmcadmin/certificatehost.pem >/opt/hpe/ssmc/ssmcbase/etc/certificatehost.pem
Hope that helps.
