Change password for cliuser on Inserv in System Reporter

The password was changed on the user used to add the Inserv to system reporter. Is there a way to change thisin System Reporter? I found the file in the clipwdir but the pw is encrypted there. Thanks guys.

It's always encrypted. :)

Use "setpassword -saveonly -u <username> -file <pwfile>" where pwfile is the fully-qualified file in clipwdir.

True enough. Time to look at getting the new HP 3PAR StoreServ Management Console (from the HP Software Depot) and start using on-board System Reporter.

The 4.6.2 or the new 2.0?

There are two Management Console software packages.

1. The older "fat client" HP 3PAR Management Console (MC), previously known as InServ Management Console (IMC). Currently v4.6.2. 
2. The new web-based HP 3PAR StoreServ Management Console (SSMC). Currently v2.0. Watch for 2.1 in the near future.

SSMC will (eventually) replace (I)MC and external System Reporter (SR). I have been told no new functionality will be added to either (I)MC or SR.

For now, you will want both Management Consoles.

You'll need to use ssh access (more secure) to the array to get into the CLI.

(Unless you like typing in the password each time.  :-)
