Re: CRC Errors -3par storage degraded

Hi Omaroo7,

Hope you are doing good...!

Normally CRC errors determined whether between SNA Switch and Host or SAN Switch and InServ, resolve the problem with the datapath.
Generally, CRC errors come from a dirty connection or failing cable.
Most of the time replacing the FC cable resolves the problem.
However, there is a possibility it won't, at that point troubleshoot other parts of the datapath.
For example, on a host to SAN switch issue, try to move the connection to another HBA and see if the errors are still occurring.
A flaky HBA, switch, etc.. could also be the issue but the recommendation is to replace the cable first.
To ensure the problem is resolved check out the below commands.

тАв showportlesb single| both <N:S:P>
тАв showportlesb hist [options <arg>] <N:S:P>

Hope this will helps with your query.

Regards,
Satish
