Decommission VM from 3PAR
Hello Experts,
Please advise if the following steps holds good for decommissioning a VM from 3PAR.
1. Identify the Volume and Host
Check which volumes are mapped to the server (host):
2. Unexport the Volume from the Host
To remove a specific volume from the server:
3. Unexport All Volumes from a Host (If Required)
If you want to unmap all volumes from a specific server
4. Remove the Host (Optional)
If the server will no longer use storage from 3PAR
5. Verify the Unmapping

Re: Decommission VM from 3PAR
Hi lakshmsingh,
The procedure that you have mentioned is correct.
Before you proceed to decommission, I would recommend you take the backup of your data (to be on the safer side).
Hope this helps.!
Regards
Anil
