Re: Difference between administration space and data space in 3par

Hello @Dsinghp2002,

Here is the explanation of the terms you marked in red.

Usage - This refers to how the is being used. Whether it is for user volumes, snapshots etc.
Usr - This refers to 'user' volumes. The regular volumes that are directly used by hosts to read/write data.
Snp - This refers to the snapshots of the user volumes.
Adm - This refers to admin volumes that are automatically created by the system to store configuration and usage data.

Please let me know if you have further questions.

Re: Difference between administration space and data space in 3par

Hello @Dsinghp2002,

Administration space is the space used by admin volumes (.admin and .srdata). These volumes are created by systems for system administration purposes. They use fixed amount of space because they are fully provisioned volumes.

Data space is the space used by the regular user created volumes to store data.
