SolutionHi Niveda
The HPE 3PAR Host Explorer and VSS Provider do not require Oracle Java SE Multiple. Instead, they require Oracle Java SE Runtime Environment (JRE) version 8 or later.
It's important to note that Oracle Java SE Multiple is a commercial product that is only available through a paid subscription. In contrast, Oracle Java SE Runtime Environment is free software that can be downloaded from the Oracle website.
Therefore, to use the HPE 3PAR Host Explorer and VSS Provider, you will need to install Oracle Java SE Runtime Environment on your system if it is not already installed. You can download the appropriate version of Oracle Java SE from the Oracle website and follow the installation instructions provided.
I request you to look at HPE 3PAR Host Explorer 4.1.1 Software User Guide linked below.

Re: Does HPE 3PAR Host explorer and VSS provider need Oracle java SE Multiple?
Hi Niveda
Yes, in cases where Oracle Java SE Runtime Environment is not supported or not available, you can use OpenJDK to run the HPE 3PAR Host Explorer and VSS Provider. OpenJDK is a free and open-source implementation of the Java SE platform, and it is often used as an alternative to Oracle Java SE.
The HPE 3PAR Host Explorer and VSS Provider are typically tested and certified with specific versions of Oracle Java SE, but they should also work with OpenJDK as long as the required version of the Java runtime is available.
However, it's important to note that there may be differences in behavior or performance when using OpenJDK instead of Oracle Java SE, so it's recommended to thoroughly test the software with OpenJDK in your specific environment before deploying it to production. Additionally, you should consult the documentation provided by HPE to ensure that OpenJDK is supported for your specific version of the HPE 3PAR Host Explorer and VSS Provider.
hope this helps..!

Mahesh.
