How to find the HPE 3Par 7200 Physical Service Processor serial number?

Hi,

Please can some one advise me? We need to find the serial number ofthe HPE 3Par 7200 physical service processor. This used to be reflected on the Service Processor ID, but the Service processor ID is now using a diferent namiing convention.

Hello @AWR ,

The Physical Service Processor will no longer use the server’s 10-character HP Serial Number (SN).

The new method is to use the 7-digit SN of the storage system preceded by SP000. The total number of characters for the HP 3PAR 7000 SP Serial Number will be twelve.

To get the physical service processor serial number, run the command "shownode -i –svc ".

Thank you for trying to assist. If I run the shownode -i -svc, under the column "Saleable serial number" I get the serial number of the 3Par system. I am looking for the CZ serial number of the Service Processor.

Hi srinivas Annavarapu,

To find the Physical Service Processor Serial number, open a Putty session using the IP Address of the HPE 3PAR StoreServ Storage.

Run the below command

 showsp

This command provides information about the Service Processor, including its serial number.
