We confirm the following:
What are the 3PAR StoreServ SP versions and Primera OS versions that contain the following information listed above: If we do not use an external DNS, we think need to upgrade.

Re: HPE 3PAR Storage, HPE Primera Storage, and HPE Alletra 9000 - New EMEA HPE Midway Servers
Hi Haku1,
These IP addresses (listed in the document) are the HPE servers to which the SPs need to communicate (for call home function). We need to allow connection to these IPs in your network Firewall settings so that the arrays/SPs can communicate to the outside world (HPE network).

Re: HPE 3PAR Storage, HPE Primera Storage, and HPE Alletra 9000 - New EMEA HPE Midway Serv
Hi Veeyarvi,
Thank you for your answer.
I would like to confirm the case when an external DNS is not used.
For SP or Primera hosts name resolution configuration.
I would like to know which version contains this RDA Midway server information.
In the version below there was no entry in hosts.
I'm pretty sure it's a later version.
3PAR SP 5.1.0.1
Primera 4.5.7
Best Regards,

Re: HPE 3PAR Storage, HPE Primera Storage, and HPE Alletra 9000 - New EMEA HPE Midway Serv
Hi Haku1,
These details are normally seen in the 'remtoe connectivity reference guide' and irrespective of the running OS versions of the devices (as seen in https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/4AA5-1582ENW). Any changes/addition/modification to the information will be notified in the form of advisories (as we see in https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=emr_na-a00130114en_us).
So, the modification not restricted with the SP versions running but applicable for all versions.
Regards,
Veeyaarvi

Re: HPE 3PAR Storage, HPE Primera Storage, and HPE Alletra 9000 - New EMEA HPE Midway Serv
Hi Veeyarvi,
I would simply like to know which version adds the RDA Midway server information listed in the advisories to the 3PAR SP or Primera hosts file.
This information will be posted in the release notes.
I would like to know in advance because it will take some time before it is described in the release notes.
Is the only way to actually upgrade and check?
Best Regards,

SolutionHi Haiku,
Sorry. This information will be in the user guide rather than the release notes (Document - HPE 3PAR Service Processor Software 5.x User Guide | HPE Support.
Anyway, the document is expected to be updated with the new information with the next release but I have no informationat this moment on the tentative date of the next version release.

Veeyarvi
