We removed a replica, we deleted the replica LUN, now the main LUN is left in promote mode with a snap attached if I try to remove the LUN I get an error "Not allowed: parent or child not removable" if I try to delete the snap I get this error "The volume is in a remote copy relationship and cannot be deleted." How can I remove both the lun and the snap?
Thank you

Re: remove lun + remove snap relationship problem
Hi Fabiopre,
Could you share the exact steps performed? Also sharing the error screenshot might be of more help.
The VVis not showig in the RCG, I assume. Did you try removing the snap using 'removevv -snaponly" command?
Also try restarting the sysmgr (setsysmgr restart) and check.

Re: remove lun + remove snap relationship
I have several LUNs in this state and I need to remove the replica and delete the two primary and replica LUNs but I am in this condition.
What correct procedure should I perform.
regards

Re: remove lun + remove snap relationship
Hi Fabiopre,
It seems, need to 'recover' the RCGs to proceed further. The normal procedure is to use 'setrcopygroup recover <RCG>' so that there will be a reversal of the targetgroup and then there will be a sync for the group. This may result in the loss of any data written in the primary volumes since their group is already stopped.
It is better to get the HPE support involved to check and suggest further if you are not confident on this.

Veeyaarvi

Re: remove lun + remove snap relationship
I don't need to recover the data but only to delete the LUNs, I should delete everything, but to do this I have to put the copy back to normal? This costs me time and I/O

SolutionHi Fabiopre,
Yes, to delete the volumes they need to be out of the RC relation. Currently it is not possible and we need to get the RCGs to normal and then remove VVs from RCGs and then delete them.
