Re: servicemag resume 1 17 -- failed

Hi Htet

Based on the output of the servicemag status -d command, it appears that there is an issue with disk WWN [5000CA07259E773], which is in an unrecoverable state. This is preventing the servicemag resume command from succeeding on Cage 1, magazine 17.

To resolve this issue, you may need to replace the faulty disk with a new one. Here are the steps you can follow:

1. Identify the physical location of the faulty disk: Based on the output of the servicemag status -d command, it seems that the faulty disk is at diskpos [0] in Cage 1, magazine 17. Verify this by physically checking the server.

2. Replace the faulty disk: Power off the server, and carefully remove the faulty disk from its slot. Replace it with a new disk of the same model and capacity.

3. Power on the server: Once the new disk is in place, power on the server and wait for it to boot up.

4. Verify the disk status: Run the servicemag status -d command again to verify that the new disk is functioning properly and not in an unrecoverable state.

If the new disk is functioning properly, the servicemag resume command should now succeed on Cage 1, magazine 17.

Hope this helps.!!

Regards
Mahesh

Re: servicemag resume 1 17 -- failed

Hi Htet

Would you please run the below commands and share the output of it

1. " showpd -cg 0 -mg 0 -s " --> this will show you the status of the drive
2. " showpd -cg 0 -mg 0 -i " --> this will show you the drive model

and the same for

1." showpd -cg 1 -mg 17 -s "
2." showpd -cg 1 -mg 17 -i "

with this we will get to know the status of PD's and HDD models then we could proceed to resolve it.

Regards
Mahesh

Re: servicemag resume 1 17 -- failed

Hi Htet,

Please use the below syntax and give us the output.

  1. Run the command “showpd” to list all the PD’s.

You will see the Pd id in the First Coloumn in the Output of “showpd”

  1. Then run the command " showpd <pd id> -s" --> this will show you the status of the drive.
  2.  "showpd <pd id> -i " --> this will show you the drive complete information.
  3. . "showpd <pd id> -e " This command will show you the disk environmental and error information.

Kindly revert for further queries.

Hope this helps.!

Regards

Anil
